Board of Trustees

The Library Trustees work with the director to determine policy while also hiring and providing oversight of the director.  Their terms end in March in staggered years and there are five member seats. The Library Board of Trustees is an elected board. 

The board meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at 4:00pm in the library.

Trustees' Documents

Borrowing Policies

  • Any Vermont resident may register for free borrowing privileges.
  • Circulation Periods:
    • 3 weeks - Books
    • 2 weeks - New books, and audio/video materials
    • 1 week - Periodicals and passes
  • Borrowers are financially responsible for damaged and lost library materials.
  • There are only overdue fines on e-readers, and passes.
  • Items may be reserved or renewed at the library, by phone, or through the online catalog, unless the item is on hold for another patron.
  • The library has book drops located at Town Hall (781 Blakely Road), at the Walgreens near the Price Chopper (1184 Prim Road), and outside Josh’s House (162 Hegeman Ave. in Fort Ethan Allen).
