Open Enrollment for 2018-2019 School Year
Open Enrollment Begins Monday, March 19, 2018
Enrollment is first-come, first-served; waitlists will be started once available space is allocated. Online registration is NOT available for the A.C.E. Program. Complete an A.C.E. Registration Form (PDF) and submit to the Rec Dept. with a $20 registration fee and a one-week deposit.
PLEASE NOTE: 5th graders at MBS will attend A.C.E. After School at the Colchester Middle School (fees stay the same for all MBS A.C.E. participants). A staff member will escort them to CMS at the end of the school day. A.C.E. Before School will still be held at MBS for Gr. 3 - 5.
The A.C.E. program incorporates Active, Creative, and Enrichment components throughout the school year. The Active components will focus on sports, recreational games, outdoor games, and lifetime skills activities. The Creative components will focus on food fundamentals, arts and crafts, and quiet time activities. We will incorporate special events, field trips, and guest artists to achieve the enrichment component of the program.
Schedule & Calendar
The A.C.E. Program runs Monday through Friday. The program at each school will follow the Colchester School District Calendar.
Before School (MBS Only)
Our morning program begins at 7 a.m. and is structured to allow various time drop offs. The children will play light games, board games, arts and crafts, and more. MBS begins classes at 8:30am.
After School Program
Our after school program begins at school dismissal and runs until 6:00pm. We will provide quality childcare that parents can rely upon throughout the school calendar year. Students will work on homework, play games, make arts and crafts, play outside, and much more. A daily snack and juice will be provided for all children.
All staff meet Vermont State Licensing requirements with regard to education and experience. Each school has an on-site director who will provide direct supervision and development of the program. Depending on the site, the staff-to-student ratio will be either 10:1 (PPS, UMS) or 13:1 (MBS, CMS).
