Malletts Bay Sewer

Welcome to the project information page for the Malletts Bay Sewer Project. This project is an environmental abatement project that will provide municipal sewer service to properties with frontage on West Lakeshore Drive between Prim Rd and the Bayside intersection, all of East Lakeshore Drive, and Goodsell Point. 

Update: West Lakeshore Drive Pump Station - August 15, 2025, Malletts Bay Sewer Update

Work is restarting at the sewer pump station near The Moorings on West Lakeshore Drive. Local Contractor SD Ireland will be completing underground electrical, placing remaining structures, grading and restoring the site, and installing fencing.

This work is expected to occur between August 11th, 2025 and September 25th, 2025.

• The contractor will install a traffic control package using flaggers and alternating single lane travel from August 20th to August 22nd.

• Other site activities are not currently expected to cause significant traffic impacts beyond entering and exiting the site. Additional updates will be provided if there are significant changes to the workplan.

The working day for construction is generally from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday.


Update: Blakely Road - August 4, 2025, Malletts Bay Sewer Update

Local contractor Kingsbury Companies, LLC continues force main installation along Blakely Road from Poor Farm Road to Severance Corners.

A: Pump Station – Estimated 4/28/25 – 8/15/25

Work continues at the Pump Station site on Blakely Road adjacent to the I-89 Highway overpass. This work is predominately out of the road. 

B: Force Main Installation and Restoration – Pending Paving

The sewer force main line work is nearing completion. Restoration will begin after completion. 

C: Blakely Road Crossing and Connection to Existing Sewer System – Complete 

The dates above are approximate, as construction is not entirely predictable.

Please a) seek alternative routes where possible; b) anticipate the delays; and c) adjust your schedule the best you can.
