Flooding Info

Colchester contains approximately 3,259 acres in the floodplain. There are 81 buildings in the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) and roughly 20 of these properties have flood insurance policies. The majority of flooding that Colchester has been subject to historically has been lake flooding that is somewhat foreseeable and can be planned for in advance.
