The Town of Colchester wants CHS students, grades 10-12, to get engaged! Students who are Colchester residents, are eligible to be on a board or commission for a term of one year. Students will work with a board/commission member who will act as a mentor. This can count towards the student's required volunteer work. Board of Ethics
There are no regular meetings for this board, but it does meet occasionally when an ethics-related issue comes up. The terms end in September, and there are positions for five members.

Development Review Board
The Colchester Development Review Board is charged with processing site plan, subdivision, and conditional use applications and variance requests and appeals of the Zoning Administrator's determinations.

Members of the task force assist in developing an energy plan for the Town.

A program for high school students to become members of Town citizen-based boards and commissions.

Library Board of Trustees
The library trustees work with the director to determine policy while also hiring and providing oversight of the director.

Planning Commission
The Colchester Planning Commission is charged with overseeing revisions to the Zoning Regulations, undertaking planning studies, and updating the Town Plan.

Recreation Advisory Board
Members advise the director of the Parks and Recreation Department in the development and management of recreational facilities and programs to serve the citizens of Colchester.
