Computers

The Burnham Library has computers available for adults, young adults, and children.

Computers are available at no cost to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up is required for the Adult computers. You may call ahead to reserve a computer time subject to approval by a library staff member. We allow a maximum of 2 people at each computer station; computer time is limited to 30 minutes unless no one is waiting.

Printing & Copying

  • Black and white prints/photocopies: 15 cents per printed side
  • Color prints: 50 cents per printed side. The printer is not capable of the resolution required for high-grade photos or artworks.
  • We accept cash or checks for payment; sorry, no credit or debit cards.
  • Fax: We can send (but not receive) faxes for $1 per page. There are additional costs for long distance ($1) and international calls ($2), while faxing to a toll-free number is free.
  • Scanning: Patrons can scan documents or photos to one of the public computers for free. The scanner is not capable of the resolution required for high-grade photos or artworks.
  • We accept cash or checks for payment; sorry, no credit or debit cards.

WiFi & Internet

The Library also has free wireless connection to the internet. Please note that our wireless is an unsecured network. We strongly recommend that wireless users do not use it to transmit personal, financial, or legal data.

There are resources available to learn more about internet and digital safety available online and in print at the library.

Computer Tutorials

If you’re looking for computer tutorials, Goodwill Industries has an excellent resource on a variety of topics, including MS Word, Facebook, and Skype.
