Colchester Town Plan 2012

The Colchester Planning Commission has begun drafting the 2012 Town Plan. This plan provides the overall vision for how Colchester should grow over the next five plus years. Draft chapters of the plan are now available on the Colchester Planning & Zoning below or at the Colchester Planning & Zoning Office at 781 Blakely Road:

These drafts are only the chapters that have been considered thus far by the Planning Commission. New text is highlighted in yellow and red highlighted areas are still under construction. If you would like to provide input on the plan, please consider attending one of the Commission's meetings on the plan. The Commission meets at 7PM at the Meeting House on Main Street on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

At this time, the Commission has concurred that the Economic Development Plan, that will be included by referrence into the 2012 Plan, will not be completed by the expiration of the current Town Plan. The Commission has warned a hearing for May 15, 2012 to readopt the current plan until January 10, 2013. The current draft of the 2012 Town Plan will be placed on hold until such time as the Economic Development Plan is compelted this summer of 2012.
