Welcome to the Town Manager's Office

On behalf of all the employees of the Town of Colchester, I welcome you to this website and to the Town of Colchester. The Town has approximately 17,200 citizens, covers 36 square miles and is enhanced by 27 miles of lakeshore. Colchester is a beautiful, highly prized four season Town noted for its recreational activities, academic and research institutions, global businesses, diverse housing stock and K-12 educational system, creating a multi-faceted community of diverse interests and people. 

The municipal government has a “Town Manager form of Government” meaning that the Select Board is the Legislative and Judicial branches of municipal government and the Town Manager heads the Administrative (executive) branch of municipal government.

The Colchester Municipal Government prides itself on being responsive, helpful, and compassionate in serving its citizens.  Our objective is to listen to you.  Access to all departments, the Town Manager, and Selectboard can occur by e-mail, telephone, or visiting any of us at Town Hall.  We want our residential and business citizens to be proud of Colchester and pleased with their government.
