Community and Economic Development

Advisory Council (CEDAC)

Created July 2007

The CEDAC is an advisory group to the Select Board comprised of local business members to advance Colchester's economic and community health based on the town's values and goals. The Council’s recommendations will be directed to the Community and Economic Development Office who in turn may direct them to the Select Board for review and action. CEDAC will provide:

  • Recommendations to support the retention of existing business and recruitment of desirable new businesses.
  • A proposed Community and Economic Development Vision and Plan for the Town of Colchester.
  • Support and help in the promotion of events/projects that enhance the Town’s economic development.
  • A sounding board for existing businesses and act as their advocate when appropriate.

The CEDAC meets the third Thursday of the month at 8:00 a.m. usually at the Town Hall. The meetings are open and the public is encouraged to attend.
