About R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) Self Defense course:
Participants will be taught the basic fundamentals in protecting oneself, awareness, and learn physical techniques to defend themselves using strikes and kicks. This course will guide participants on awareness, learning about what to be conscious of when in public, building mental and physical confidence and preparing for any unsafe situation they may be in, including when an attacker may be present. All gear will be provided by the Colchester Police Department. Due to the topics discussed during this program, all participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult (female). Minimum: 10 students, Maximum: 20.

The selectboard is responsible for general supervision of the affairs of the town; this includes enacting ordinances and rules, proposing an annual budget and setting the tax rate, appointing individuals to non-elected boards and commissions, and a variety of other related tasks.
Meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, 6:30 pm, at the Colchester Town Offices, 781 Blakely Road, in the Outer Bay Conference Room on the 3rd floor. Enter through the front door of the building and take the elevator or the stairs to the left. Special meetings at different times and locations are also held occasionally throughout the year.
